Fred 'Freddie' Williams (3 June 1936 – 11 November 2017) was a former English darts caller. In the circuit he was known as Freddie '180' Williams. Williams made his debut in 1980. Since then he has been active as a caller in all British Darts Organisation's tournaments; the Winmau World Masters, the News of the World Darts Championship and the Embassy. At the 1984 World Matchplay, Williams called history by announcing John Lowe's nine-darter in his match against Keith Deller. In doing so, Williams became the first caller of a live nine-darter on a major televised tournament. In 1993 Williams, along with fellow referee Bruce Spendley, moved to the forerunner of the newly formed Professional Darts Corporation. His last appearance as a caller was the 2006 Ladbrokes World Darts Championship after which, after 27 world championships and 35 years of calling, Williams decided to retire. For his services to the PDC, Williams has been inducted into the PDC Hall of Fame.
