Comédien de talent, Raymond Bouchard cumule une liste impressionnante de réalisations, prix et mentions, durant une carrière de près de 46 ans. Au cinéma, il nous a charmés dans La grande séduction, film avec lequel il récolte deux nominations au Gala des Prix Génie et à la Soirée des Jutra. Il fut de la distribution de plusieurs autres films québécois dont, entre autres, Le banquet, Nitro, Bluff, La vie avec mon père, La Florida et Ding et Dong, le film.. Il a aussi tourné dans le film Funkytown.
Au théâtre, il a participé à de très nombreuses productions dont 12 hommes en colère, Le médecin malgré lui, Le malade imaginaire, Qui a peur de Virginia Wolf?, Le vrai monde et Otello. Le rôle de Sganarelle dans Dom Juan lui permet de remporter le prix Gascon-Roux du TNM.
À la télévision, il a interprété le rôle du père dans Annie et ses hommes, ce qui lui vaut le prix Gémeaux en 2003 comme meilleur acteur de soutien. Il a aussi gagné le Gémeaux du Meilleur acteur pour son rôle dans la série L’Or et le papier.
Il a participé à plusieurs téléséries et téléromans qui ont marqué le Québec. Citons Temps dur, Bunker, Tabou, Trudeau, Lance et compte, Innocence, Chartrand et Simonne, Blanche, Scoop, D'amour et d'amitié, pour ne nommer que celles-là.
